basics is essential to starting an internet business. Without grasping
the basics you can get stuck at the first hurdle and don't take the
action needed to succeed.

Online video viewing is growing at an incredible rate. According to comScore, in December 2009 178 million people watched 33.2 billion videos,
with the average viewer watching 187 videos per month in the U.S.
Nearly 40% of those videos were YouTube videos and the month-to-month
watching videos online is a trend that will continue to gain momentum.
Video
marketing can not only help drive huge amounts of traffic to your
website for free, but can very quickly establish you as an expert
online in your niche or industry and I will show you how to do this in
a few simple steps.
Social Media (Facebook, Twitter and Blogging)
Social Networking websites continue to grow on a huge scale in the UK and now accounts for 11% of all time spent online! In the past year the average time spent on social networking sites grew from 3 hours per month to 5.5 hours.
It
is one of the essential strategies in 2010 (and beyond) for building a
business online and driving a large amount of traffic to your website

Cost Per Action
This is a great new strategy!
CPA
means cost per action, similar to affiliate marketing. However instead
of being paid when a customer purchases an item/service (where you
receive a commission) you are paid when a potential customer takes
action. This ‘action’ varies depending on the offer you are promoting.
It can be from a simple email address submit to purchasing a ‘FREE’
trial of an item, where they have to pay S&H (shipping and handling
fee’s). The offers will therefore vary in payout.
CPA networks act as the middle-man bringing advertisers (the companies
who want to promote and offer) and publishers together (you). Here
companies will post offers, which you can promote, listing their payout
and information etc.
With this technique you don't need to sell anything to start earning money
online!
Local Business Marketing
Local
Business Marketing is one of those areas that are set to explode in the
next few years as Internet Marketers begin to realise the power of the
“local search”.
There are more people searching online
for local products and services
An
increasing number of people now search for local businesses and
services. The days of turning to the “yellow pages” are declining as
the easier option is now to “Google” the service you require followed
by your location such as “plumber kent” or “solicitor ashford”.
The
searcher is much more qualified and specific to the local product or
service which means they are more likely to convert into a paying
customer!
There are more local businesses turning to
online marketing to find customers
Google
has realised this with the Introduction of the Google Business
Directory, (which allows companies to get their location shown on a
Google map when someone types in their business keyword and
location…you may have seen these already) and also the ability to show
your adverts within a defined geographic area of your business location!
